Easter is approaching and I'm finding myself singing random phrases of praise as I go through my day. The history of Easter is a little dubious and I prefer to live as an "Easter everyday" kind of person. That said, I still appreciate the fact that this festival still comes year after year with the associated public holidays. Because anything that is 'everyday' can be neglected over time. I used to live in a place where there was a public holiday for Prophet Mohammed's birthday. In that time, I used to at least once a year consider the fact that he must have been born, although of course it held no personal meaning or significance for me. I love the fact that at least with Easter, there is a gradual build up of events. And it brings the events of the past to mind again. So even if we celebrate on a solstice, the power of God is greater and our songs of praise wage warfare in the heavenlies!!!
