It has been WAY too long since I have been here. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE CSN! Why? Because of the great people/friends I have met here and because of it's ministry. It is such a wonderful website.

I have been consumed with kids, and life and my own little mind games that have been going on in my head about basically who I was as a songwriter and coming to terms with that, but mostly who I was in God's eyes. This summer has been an awakening time for me. I have come out of it with more peace, more direction, more communication with God on a daily basis and more time with my wonderful family.

As far as songwriting goes, I haven't written a whole lot new. One arrangement with my husband to Christ The Lord Is Risen Today, one song out of a prayertime for our church, and one to break me out of my box and do something totally new and my hidden passion. Hopefully I will get enough courage to share it with you. lol.

God convicted me that I needed to have my relationship with Him number one each day. To devote quiet time with Him and pray to Him all throughout the day. Next, to devote my time to my husband and my children by holding them and their needs higher than my computer, the internet or other life events around me. And then our church. To give time to praying for it and what God wants to do there, volunteering in the areas I am gifted in and loving the people there. Lastly, with the rest of my time, to give that time to friendships and to my hobbies such as songwriting. This perspective has been so great. Hard, but great. It has brought way more peace and contentment to my life. Do I write as much or network as much, nope. But my life is balanced for the most part in a healthy way for me.

I am excited to be able to be going to the Mount Hermon Songwriters Retreat in two weeks! I can hardly wait!! It will be so much fun to connect with friends and be lead in worship by some of the top worship leaders and to hopefully find time to write.

So basically that is me in a nut shell. I hope everyone here is doing well. I totally need to catch up on things. 8-[

Blessings to everyone!

Lara~
