I was thinking about how when a child first learns to draw they make these stick figures - and Mommy and Daddy and everyone oohhs and ahs and they put them on the refrigerator!
Everyone encourages the little artist.
And then the child learns to use crayons and colors all over the page and everyone says oooh ahhh thats great
But when the child grows up more is expected...........

I look at my earlier song productions and I cringe
What was I thinking? Was I deaf?
But yet that niavete was so innocent, I had a boldness ....... and posted the songs and shared them, and made copies and gave them out and I even sold them...........

Now, it seems, I can't get anything done "enough" to burn copies for my family.
I can't pay to get songs done pro, so they sit here, on soundclick maybe, but with no hard copy to pass along. I wouldn't even think of selling them..........

This puts a new spin on the teaching of Jesus - unless we come as little children.
No pride, no expectations, no illusions, just with a pure gift of LOVE, our little songs from the heart to OUR KING.

I am trying to find the happy medium. The song with the right chords played, all the words sung correctly, nothing too off key, no clipping, enough limiting and compression to not break a listeners eardrum. I just want to share the songs.

I don't want to be a great artist,because I am not - only HE is.
But I want to do better then the stick figures I started with.

I guess everyone feels this way.........

It is only the child-like dependency on the Father that makes our mistakes innocent, as all we see is Him and our desire for Him..! There is no thought of self, all we see is Him as our hearts cry out... I love you Lord, you are so beautiful to me, I want You!
