I have not had too much time to visit here much lately, no time to critique, and i would not want to post my stuff without having the time to crit back. I appreciate the efforts of all on CSN, the helping hands, ears and eyes to help each other go forward in our ministries. I usually get told to re write, re mix, re this and re that, lol. i can get discouraged, but i know this is a skill beyond me, and i never claimed i knew how to do this anyway..........

I was reading the passage before the well known You are the potter I am the clay verses. well, some vessels are for ordinary things, never meant to be used for grand events. and i realize, yea, i am an everyday vessel, doing regular everyday things. like a pair of old favorite jeans, rather than the gold sparkle dress. kind of nice, used everyday in an ordinary way.

so, for all of you reading this who get discouraged because our songs are not "winning" contests or prizes, just realize they may be "winning " souls, as we touch the "ordinary " people around us. like your neighbor, or the kid next door..... as we do "ordinary" things.
HE is able to Do exceedingly abundantly in the most ordinary extraordinary ways......

so now i even have to be careful in boasting about how ordinary i am , lol. He is ALWAYS teaching me something............

Very good Ang. Thanks for posting this. It is so true about how God uses us in ordinary ways. I was driving home tonight thinking why can't I just be home with my kids and be available to minister in my own church. Why do I have to work at Macaroni Grill of all places. But I realized that God was using me there in the "ordinary." My ministry was in the church. God's ministry might be in the world. Go figure lol. When I got home our kids were still awake. So I tucked them in and while I was doing that they asked me what I did while I worked. So I had the chance to tell them some of the stories of the people I met and sang to. They asked me to sing the songs to them. It was fun to share that side of myself to them. So I am glad for the reminder driving home and also reading your blog that God is working through us. In many ways we cannot see. We need to die to ourselves and be lead by God to do His work. What a lesson eh Ang? = ) Hope you are doing well in Florida. It was refreshing to hear from you.

Blessings to you,

Lara~

Cracked pots or ordinary jeans--it doesn't matter--We can sing to Our KING!!!!
Sing in private. Sing on the hill. "Who will sing for me?" We said, "i will".....
Success is in touching a heart for Jesus...and compelling them from afar.
But most people come here wanting to be the star.
Yet I imagine--In Jesus' eyes...you... already.. are.
Keep shining Angel.
I love you so!!!
Diane
