i was blessed to be incredibly busy in Dec, having many opportunities to share the Good News and the songs He has allowed me to pen. one evening i was privileged to sing for a crowd that shared in common some cruel dx, and they were so appreciative of my singing it was humbling. after the "show" they actually lined up to see me, and i hugged each one and told them Jesus loved them, looking each person straight in the eye. - one fellow told me he used to be a drummer, and how he wished he could do that again. and i told him, "Well even tho your not drumming NOW, doesn't mean your not in the band. Your still a musician, it's what you are, even if your not playing anymore! Don't you still hear the music in your head?" I promised that next time i came i would bring a tambourine and he could play along with me.
It made me realize how fortunate we are to be called to sing and play music for our King. even if we are not playing out and about, we are in the band. that's...

for some reason i thought i was done.
i can not tell you why. it's just that, it seemed this year i wrote down so many songs, that i kind of thought that was it. like done, fini, no more. and this year coming i would refine, tweak, and maybe make one decent casio free recording. ahh, my dream.
and then the gift came.
this is the only song i was ever to write. the song that if i never wrote another word, it was all for this, i am finished now, this is the pearl.

but, i have thought that before......
why is it that the last song is the song that i think is the very best? does this happen to everyone? do we really get better at writing? or is it the newness of the song, the new words and melody that makes our heart soar? the fact that once again He has allowed me this privilege, to serve and sing glory to His name? so many others to sing, to write, and yet He picks me? wow. i am so not worthy to do this... Lord, do you know me? me? You do? and You let me? pen this? what am I supposed to...

Just wanted to let everyone know that I won't be on CSN much this month (December).

Things have been incredibly busy: with home (Bill has been having some major health concerns, and I have been working more hours as financial stuff has been bombarded upon us). Also, I have been blessed with many opportunities in the ministry, and I need to polish up some stuff, and get things worked out and organized. ... And, I have been trying to finish up some of these songs that have been sitting around, realizing they are never going to be done "pro" anyway, and I think I have just been staying in the same musical sore spot.... When this all started, my only goal was to share the songs that I have been allowed to pen, and I think in my quest to "make em sound better", they are not being shared. I have been stripped of all my pride in this, posting them on the internet unfinished. But I do just need to clean them up a bit, and make some copies to share,...
