This is the 5th or 6th time I've tried this tonight, but I think I finally updated/uploaded the right file -- if you're reading this, the blogs are good to go!

According to the X-rays, God may just have intervened -- because the dentist's 'burr' as she called it (a tool maybe 3/32" wide and a little over 1/2" long or so) didn't show up on the films. I was having a tooth filled today, and the burr came out of the driver WHILE she was using it...I felt something unusual bounce around in my mouth, but lying back as I was with my mouth wide open I can't say for sure whether or not it went down my windpipe/my esophagus/or was sucked up by the assistant's suction tube. At the time the dentist said it must've been sucked up, or I would've felt it, so I said OK. Anyway, I paid, came home, and was going to forget about it -- but then I got a call from the dentist's office: they had torn the room apart and couldn't find the tool (I'm sure they looked in the reservoir for the vacuum, the most obvious place). For those who miss being able to play games right here on your favorite place to hang out...there is hope. There are TWO arcade mods under development I am watching. Both look very promising. Each of them allow forum members to submit scores so we can have a high score ranking, and some of the games look really awesome. Whichever version we go with, we want to wait until it's stable enough for use on our forum (we don't want developmental s/w corrupting our database or introducing vulnerabilities). So, please be patient!

My random thoughts for today:

1) I'm not a good blogger...I blog infrequently, sometimes going years between postings, but I like the blog software I've just put on our board...so maybe I'll do better this time.

2) Even though I have my share of troubles (work stuff, back pain, family illnesses), I have SO much to be thankful for: salvation, my wonderful family, this fantastic online family known as CSN, a good church to attend and serve in as keyboardist, a decent job, freedom, and the Thanksgiving spread we're going to eat tomorrow.
