i don't know anything about pearls
like when you find one in an oyster is it all clean and sparkling?
probably not.

and that's what i have been doing
polishing the pearl.

suggestions made by others to make it a bit more singable, for "others"

well, good!
then i can sing it too!
just a few notes, play a bit with it

as soon as i can, i will share it

When you open the oyster, the pearl is clean but not shiny. They pull it out, buff it with a soft cloth, and it is so pretty. Big companies that process them coat them with wax or lacquer so that they are more durable and shiny, but to me it makes them look more fake too (that is a song lyric waiting to happen). If you ever visit Hawaii, let me know and I will take you pearl hunting. I have a half-written song in my stack called "String of Pearls", about how we can take our hardships and let God turn them into something beautiful. Maybe someday it will fully develop into a "pearl" of its own. Blessings!
