I'M SITTING AT MY COMPUTER AND HAVE A STRONG NEED TO PRAY FOR EVERYONE WHO READS THIS POST. I don't know why but I have to pray for you.

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER,
I DON'T KNOW THE REASON WHY I FEEL YOU ARE CALLING ME TO PRAY FOR MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS HERE AT CSN, BUT I WILL .
FIRST OFF I PRAY THAT YOU WILL FORGIVE ME FOR ANYTHING THAT I HAVE DONE THAT HAS NOT BEEN PLEASING IN YOUR EYES, THAT YOU WILL CREATE IN ME A CLEAN VESSEL.
I THANK AND PRAISE YOUR NAME FOR LOVING ME WITH A LOVE THAT I WILL NEVER COMPREHEND, AND FOR ALLOWING ME TO KNOW YOU AS MY PERSONAL SAVIOR.
I ASK RIGHT NOW FATHER THAT WHATEVER THE NEED OR NEEDS OF MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS ARE HERE AT CSN, THAT YOU WILL TOUCH THEM AND LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU ARE ARE RIGHT BESIDE THEM, PROTECTING AND GUIDING EACH AND EVERYONE. YOU ARE THE GREAT PHYSICIAN, OUR COMFORTER, OUR FATHER AND OUR FRIEND.

Have you prayed in the Spirit? What exactly IS praying in the Spirit?????

Did you know or are you aware that praying in the Spirit is mentioned three times in Scripture?

Ephesians 6:18 says, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”

1 Corinthians 14:15 says, “So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.”

Jude 20 says, “But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.”

Some Christians understand these Scriptures to be referring to praying in tongues, but is that what it is??? I don't think so...

The Greek word translated “pray in” the Spirit can be translated several different ways. It can mean:

Prayer goes beyond just a conversation. True prayer becomes a relationship, where there is pleasure, peace and comfort just because you place yourself in the presence of God. Prayer, IS a relationship with God.

I talk to God all of the time. I mutter to Him, I cry to Him, I share with Him. It is a habit that I fell into quite some time ago and cannot imagine my life without the ability to share my thoughts, troubles, goodtimes and bad with Him through prayer.

Sometimes prayer is just a conversation with Him as I go through my daily chores, jobs, obligations. Daily, it is time also time set aside to praise and worship Him. Morning for me, is the very best time to have my "alone" time with him, even tho my husband joins me during this time. It's the most awesome part of the day. The two of us together, sharing our adoration to Him.

I was asked by a health care provider recently how to become "prayerful". At first, this question made me pause a bit, because...

I found my "people" a couple of weeks ago. After years of searching, I have finally found the group that I thought might be here, but I didn't know how to find before. My fellow Hawaiian songwriters. And I couldn't be happier.

I thought that I had quite reached my end of songwriting. Discouraged and feeling quite alone and uneducated about the whole thing, I had determined to just enjoy the music created by others, ignoring the nagging voice inside my head that "I could write something like that". But just when I was 'enjoying' my hiatus, a friend invited me to a weekend songwriter's workshop hosted by the local community college, which has a relatively new music/recording industry degree. To be honest, I had plenty of excuses not to go, but I thought it might be encouraging to my friend if we could go together, so I agreed. Then my friend decided not to go; but I was stuck having already signed up and paid, so I figured there was no harm in going and treating...
