FIND BLESSING EVERYWHERE by Miri on April 20th, 2011, 9:22 pm
Easter is approaching and I'm finding myself singing random phrases of praise as I go through my day. The history of Easter is a little dubious and I prefer to live as an "Easter everyday" kind of person. That said, I still appreciate the fact that this festival still comes year after year with the associated public holidays. Because anything that is 'everyday' can be neglected over time. I used to live in a place where there was a public holiday for Prophet Mohammed's birthday. In that time, I used to at least once a year consider the fact that he must have been born, although of course it held no personal meaning or significance for me. I love the fact that at least with Easter, there is a gradual build up of events. And it brings the events of the past to mind again. So even if we celebrate on a solstice, the power of God is greater and our songs of praise wage warfare in the heavenlies!!!

Stick Figures by angela dittmar on April 10th, 2011, 6:43 pm
I was thinking about how when a child first learns to draw they make these stick figures - and Mommy and Daddy and everyone oohhs and ahs and they put them on the refrigerator!
Everyone encourages the little artist.
And then the child learns to use crayons and colors all over the page and everyone says oooh ahhh thats great
But when the child grows up more is expected...........

I look at my earlier song productions and I cringe
What was I thinking? Was I deaf?
But yet that niavete was so innocent, I had a boldness ....... and posted the songs and shared them, and made copies and gave them out and I even sold them...........

Now, it seems, I can't get anything done "enough" to burn copies for my family.
I can't pay to get songs done pro, so they sit here, on soundclick maybe, but with no hard copy to pass along. I wouldn't even think of selling them..........

This puts a new spin on the teaching of Jesus - unless we come as little children.
No pride, no expectations, no illusions,...

Hey everybody
My name is Eric.I have had a profile on here for about a year.I have recently been taking Gods calling to music seriously, partially because of the worship team I was a part of has split up and the church is going threw some turmoil.I now go to a different church, and I am trying to get involved with that worship team.I also am bursting at the seams with musical ideas!!!
I want to put together a band, but most of the people i know don't want to join me until I have some material written....Writing is not what i consider one of my strengths!!!I love to sing and I can work a crowd very well.Is it possible to find material that song writers would be willing to share with the world?
I would appreciate any advice any of you would have for me...
P.S I have already filled out the request form

Thanx Again
Eric

A big thank you to those who have purchased "Shades of Grace", the new country gospel CD from Simmons & Hurst. We want to remind everyone that ALL profits are going to charity. Ronnie

LOVE by angela dittmar on February 9th, 2011, 3:48 pm
As we get nearer to the traditional Valentine's Day, visions of that very day -2/14/07 - flood my mind. That was the day this journey started, although I had no idea at that time.
Thank you LORD, for all the pain..... sorry for not listening before...........happy to be in this amazing ministry now............

I guess none of us will ever forget when we were called into the army of songwriters.
What a blessing!
Thank you Jesus for entrusting me with this gift. May everything I and my friends here at CSN do bring Glory to You name.
