Never pass up the opportunity to work with real talent. Working in partnership however, that's another story altogether. Firstly, take this advice. Your friend is not a friend just because you are friendly to each other, you are friends because you have established a relationship that has been tested by fire and proven to have not broken your love for each other as christian friends.

Having said that, the only way you are going to grow is if you surround yourself with people better then you. Fellowship with great talent and you will get inspiration to soar from the place you are now in. There is no reason for you to feel you're going to blow it unless you have some kind of complex that stops you from humbling yourself and getting blessed.

Go to work, and make it work.

i can understand where you come from with this I'm only 16 and ambition and pride can be a real struggle in my life. i also write songs and i've had the same problem with writing music and trying to rush it to get it finished. what i never noticed until late is that you can't rush the will of god in music or anything pertaining to life. i've been trying my hardest to allow god to overcome my life and let him be my leader and not me trying to lead myself. and i still have a lot of work to do!
being in highschool is very hard when it comes to this with all the influences and other students ignorance to people feelings. but im trying to stay strong with my goal of allowing god complete control!

Just letting you know your not alone

wow just noticed this is three years old lol woopsie :P
